As the old woman said, Diana followed the path. A few minutes later, the creepy but majestic forbidden forest appeared before her eyes. She thought about the old woman's words again; she worried whether she could fully step into the woods or not. But she knew she couldn't give up; Ethan was still waiting for her. Clutching her mother's cloak, she silently prayed: "Dad, mom, Ethan, please protect me" and walked towards the gate of the forest. There was a terrifying roar; the crow's cry seemed to tear through the air, Diana's footsteps were heavy but still trying to move on. She knew the woods were holding her back, but in her mind, there was only Ethan waiting for her to take her home, and she wouldn't back down, that was for sure. For a moment, she felt her cloak radiating warmth, embracing her to protect her from the terrifying force. That dreadful moment seemed to last forever until Diana could no longer hear a sound. She fell to her knees. The cloak on her body was also tattered and deformed.
